Group/Raiding Guidelines Empty Group/Raiding Guidelines

Post  Yullianna Nevendaar Sun Oct 31, 2010 12:18 am

Hey gang. After talking to Emajem, I wanted come up with a few guidelines that we as a guild can use when grouping together and or with other players.

I had the wonderful pleasure to day to run CBK, with a full group to start off with. We did end up loosing one player before we started and then two more partially through. We finished the entire instance with just three players, with yours truly, healing my lil socks off.

Anyhow as I ran the instance with the group I noticed a couple things that just did not seem right. I am gonna try to cover these in a way that doesn't offend any one or upset too many people. Please after reading this post if you have any further comments or suggestions please post them so we can all talk about it.

First things first...LOOT RULES
It is in my opinion that when you are grouped with your own guild members, it should be fair to just loot what you need. Now we all know what they say about opinions. Realistically this doesn't work. No offense, but there is always some young whipper snapper out there that is eager to take what they believe they can SELL on the open market, not thinking about how it affects the other members of the group. Well I am here to tell you, you are the wrong people to have in a group. Needing on items just cuz you want them is considered, ninjaing, and once you do that you loose all respect. I personally, and this is my feelings, that if you are in my group and you start needing on items that wont "fit" you or your class, I will warn you once. If you do it again I will kick you from the group. Solves a lot of problems right off the bat. But of course, loot rules is set by the group leader, so maybe as a group we can come to an agreement that we set loot rules to need vs greed. Anyone caught needing on an item that they can not use, will be warned ONCE, after that they will be kicked from the group, and will forever be labeled a ninja.

Second item... Abandoning your group while in an instance or raid.
Now I know that some of these instances can take awhile, and people have other lives. But there is no excuse for leaving an instance group or raiding party in the middle of it, because you want to go and do something else ingame. If you need to leave because you have other obligations, that is understandable. Lord knows I have left because the instance I am in has ran till 2 in the morning and I have to be up in 3 hours to go to work. But I can honestly say I have never deserted my "team mates" in the middle of an instance, because I found something better to do, or in the hopes I can go else where in the game with the hopes that some other rare might drop. Please be considerate of your fellow guild mates, and most of all of other players. We as a guild need to not condone this behaviour and allow ti to go on. If you leave my group in the middle of an instance, you will never be invited back, unless you have a legitimate reason.

Thanks for listening and let me know what you think.

Yuli

Group/Raiding Guidelines Empty re

Post  Durrandal Sun Oct 31, 2010 12:35 am

This covers pretty much everything, i just want to highlight the fact that Yullianna is expressing an opinion, those are not rusel, just guidelines for everyone. If i don't enjoy partying with someone for one of those or any other reason i will not team with that person my self. It might be a good habit to set the loot rules before starting a raid in-game every time.

Also, if you agree with these but you join someone's party which is free-for-all-need, accept the party host rules or leave the group. If the party leader sets a rule of no-needing-if-can't-equip and doesn't follow it him/herself, please report this to Guild Officers, we will deal with this.

Group/Raiding Guidelines Empty group/raid loot rules

Post  Vulm DaManky Sun Oct 31, 2010 1:49 am

I was in the first group at CBK today and had to leave before the raid started due to RL. I had a great time, with everyone! Very Happy I liked the way we looted today in the group, money was split evenly, and you had the chance to roll on the drops. I agree with the need before greed. We are a guild, as in one for all, and all for one! cheers
Just my own personal opinion, as I am Vulm DaManky and I approve this message!

Group/Raiding Guidelines Empty Need and Greed

Post  Luthvian Tue Nov 02, 2010 3:43 pm

I usually set up lotto on looting, but I keep forgetting about the Need Before Greed button (it wasn't an option when i first started playing). I think this is a great idea. I will be sure to change my default group settings when the servers come back up. As far as leaving mid run, Bohica and I have a strong possibility at any given time of needing to do that. We have two small children, so things can get crazy around here. Usually we can work it out that one of us deals with the child need and the other can run both toons, but not always. I understand that Yulli did say that legitimate real life issues take precedence, I just wanted to be sure that people had an understanding of why we may need to drop out.

I am super happy that Yulli approached me about joining the guild. Bo and I had been kicking around the idea of looking for a guild to join just so we could get the vendor benefits of being in a guild (like being about to buy better mounts). After my previous experiences with guilds, I was pretty sure that could be the only dependable benefit. It has been a great experience, and I am thrilled that everyone is so helpful and community oriented. I feel like I've finally found a guild that has lived up to the expectations I had back the first time I joined one. I feel kind of bad because Bo and I have gotten a lot of help with our HQ's and people giving us/helping us find things we need and it seems like we really haven't done much in return. I'm watching for the opportunity to give back some of the help we've been given Very Happy . Please don't hesitate to hit me or Bo up anytime you think we can help you out.

Thanks to all!
