Guild Status Event v2

As last weekend's event was received very good but only by people who read the forums, this weekend we will have the same event but will broadcats information about it in game too. We hope to get more people interested as the prices are worth it and it is with benefit to the whole guild.

From now until sunday 8pm UK time players who gain most guild SP will be rewardes with money.

lvl1 - lvl15 - 25 gold for 1st place
lvl16 - lvl30 - 50 gold for 1st place
lvl31 - lvl45 - 75 gold for 1st place
lvl45 and higher - 1 platinum for 1st place

To make the event fair, SP accumulated until now will not be counted, below list shows how much SP people have BEFORE event and this will not be included in final count.

Players starting with under 500 guild status points will be considered as starting with 0 points (for their benefit, it only takes 2-3 writs to catch up with them).

To gain Guild SP you can do writs, sell status items or do heritage quests. Good luck and have loads of fun..

Just a quick note to say... I love this kind of stuff. Even if there was no cash reward I'd still participate (although, don't get me wrong, I like the cash, too) because I like seeing my name in lights.

So I have donated some of my SP's to the guild. Not in an attempt to win this competition, I donated them because I was told the guild needs SP more than Plat. I'm not sure if donating SP's should even qualify for this event. I would think the event is about doing some quests and see how much you can get that way. In any case I wanted everyone to know that I had donated about 3k SP, not to win, but to help our guild.

In reference to this event, I have looked some at allakhazam and they don't organize/search quests based on SP. So if anyone knows of any repeatable sp quests let me know and I'll knock some out to help. You can tell me after the guild event if you want

Hmm I wasn't actually sure if donated SP counted or not for this. Best sources of repeatable SP are writs, which you can get one of two ways (that I know of). One is to do the tradeskill writs - there's a rush order merchant in the guild hall, or you can also get a non-rush order writ in any of the large city's crafting areas (I only know the Good ones). Pick up a writ, then go to a clipboard (there's a clipboard at every station in the guild hall I think, which is incredibly handy) and start crafting. It's good to make sure you have all the mats on you before starting since rush-orders are timed.

You can also get writs from factions within the cities to go kill some quantity of something somewhere. Nice thing about those is you don't have to turn anything in; once you meet the kill count you automatically get the cash, SP and a city token instantly, and they're endlessly repeatable. They issue writs that are level-specific to you; they give you the option of 3 that are for mobs just above and below your level (higher level = slightly more SP). Qeynos issued writs for me (level 22) for Thundering Steppes; they were for Antonica below level 20. Sometimes you'll also find writs that are for kills in dungeons/instances.

I live in Qeynos, so I know where the 4 who give out writs are there; assuming you have your quest thingy turned on you can look for the quest feathers on your map for these just like any other quests. In Qeynos, you can get two in North Qeynos (fighters and priests), one in South Qeynos (mages) and one in Elddar Forest (rogues). Not sure where you'd find them exactly in Halas or Kelethin but I'm sure they're similar. These are not timed, so you can sandbag them by picking them up now and waiting until the next contest if you want.
